Summer is all about being tan, having fun and wearing trendy clothing. Something that has been a must have all year-long is denim. In the summer especially I like to wear denim shorts. They are so easy to just throw on, and go with anything in your closet! This summer I found myself always reaching for denim shorts wether it be if I’m going to the beach, hanging out with friends, or just needed something to wear.

You can find denim shorts anywhere and with many different lengths! My personal favorite are high wasted shorts, I find them to be the most flattering for me. When I’m looking to purchase a new pair I tend to go to  Urban Outfitters, Pac Sun (store brand or Brandy Melville), and Zara.  My collection consists of a variety of shades of blue from dark wash to acid wash. The shorts I choose to wear on a certain day depends on what top I’m wearing. I also tend to go for easy slip on shoes. The ones that I’ve been reaching for this summer are these cream textured slip ons from Steve Madden. They are so comfortable and of course go with everything!

This has easily become my summer uniform and I’m sure it has for you too! The best thing about denim is that it won’t go out of style and can last for years! One tip that I highly recommend you try is washing your denim before you wear them! This will help them fit better as well as not make your underwear blue, due to the dye used.
